It's that time of the year again, and although articles on "how being single is awesome" are doing their rounds on the internet, the fact of the matter is that you do feel a little bit lonely and sad if you are alone during the season of love.

But, fret not, because this season you could pamper yourself with the brand new Asus Zenphone, and here are five reasons why this brand new series of smart phones is going to make your ideal Valentine.

1. So Many Choices! Yay!
The cosmopolitan in us looks for varieties and flavors, and the Asus Zenphone is here to suit your needs. And by you, I mean, you and you and all of the other you too. No matter what you want, be it in terms of budget, or specifications, Asus has a wide range of variety to offer.

2. Oh, so chic!

It comes in different shades, be it classic black or bold red, and you are sure to fall in love with its style. It looks elegant and classy, and instantly makes you fall in love!

3. Power packed performance!
Yes, we all love performance. And the Zenphone doesn't disappoint at all, with its 1.6 GHz Intel dual core processor, and a powerful RAM, which means your phone will be nothing short of spectacular.

4. Multitask Master!
Well, we all lead busy lives. We need everything, and we need it now! And a phone that allows you to multitask like a pro, not hindering your need to have everything at your fingertips, be it fast action gaming, high quality webpages or just regular chat apps is a sure keeper! With the Asus Zenphone, you have a Valentine that caters to your every need, without any timelag.
If that's not #UnconditionalLove , I don't know what is.

5. A Sensory Delight!
Another thing we look for in a Valentine (and a phone) is the ability to ignite our senses. And the Zenphone, with an impressive touch responsiveness of 60ms, with the response being intact even when you are gloved, along with superb photo quality and excellent speakers is a true delight. Isn't it hard not to fall in love with a phone that takes enough care of you to not want you to freeze during the winters by taking off your gloves? That, my friends, is #UnconditionalLove for you.

So, what are you waiting for? Go get yourself a Valentine, who is never to leave your side. Heck, it won't even leave your pocket/pursue without your permission. That's how loyal this Valentine will be. Not just that, with it many unique talents (and features) it will not only dazzle you, but make everyone around you jealous. And it's that what we all secretly want? That "I got what you dream of" feeling?

Every Girl Deserves a HEA.

She had been voluntarily confining her to a room for almost the entire day for days now, avoiding as much human interaction as possible, and pretending to be fine during the rare occasions when she really couldn't get out of not talking to people. She had been following a cycle to make her feel bad about herself. Not working when she was supposed to, making her feel guilty, but then forcing herself to not do anything about it, resulting in more guilt. After a certain point of time, she had difficulties even getting out of the bed. She knew she was lagging behind in a lot of areas, and if she didn't do anything about it soon, she would be in a soup. But she really couldn't do anything. She could only bring herself to indulge in the pointless frivolities, knowing fully well what she was doing to herself.

And with time, she got very good at it too.

After all, she had been doing it for many, many years now. And with time, it came naturally. Sometimes, very rarely, she would remember her glory days, when she didn't pretend to like people, when she genuinely had friends she cared about, and dreams she fought for. She didn't know how she became this person from the one she was. She would blame her past for what she had become, but somewhere deep down, she knew it was all on her.

She used to feel like a dragon, breathing fire, and now she left like the dying embers left in the morning after a bonfire, which would sometime simmer up, but would be unable to light up ever again.
She  had been put down too many times to even want to try to rise up again. And so, she continued living like a zombie. Not dead exactly, but not alive either. And thus, when the zombie apocalypse struck, she fit right in. And since she didn't have dead skin and horrendous look like the other zombies, she was a novelty.

Eventually, once the zombies were done feeding on all the living being, and capturing the rest for future fodder, they got organized and civilized, as is the case with all cultures and races. And when that day came, due to her uniqueness, out protagonist was chosen the Zombie Queen, to rule the Zombieland as she saw fit. And she had a gala time.

Moral of the story- If you look hard enough, there is always a Happily Ever After. If not, stop once you find the Happy, and don't look After that.

The Birds and Beasts of Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary

Keoladeo National Park, better known as Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, the former host of the Siberian Crane (the last of which came in 2001) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a joy for bird watchers.

There are two ways to visit Bharatpur. You can either visit it on your way back to Delhi from Agra; Bharatpur is 55 kms from Agra and about 185kms from Delhi, or you could just go to Bharatpur directly, and spend the weekend birdwatching and visiting nearby palaces and museums. You are not going to have any issues staying because both sides of the road, leading to the Bird Sanctuary is lined up with private hotels, with the RTDC hotel bang at the crossroads. There is also a tourist lodge (Hotel Bharatpur Ashok) inside the national park maintained by Indian Tourism Development Corporation Limited.

Coming to the main attraction- the Keoladeo National Park, more commonly known as the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is a delight for not just bird watchers, but for anyone who loves nature. The park has an area of about 30 sq. km and is the home of many species of not only birds, but fishes, reptiles (snakes and lizards) and mammals. There are deer, hyenas as well as wild boars inside the sanctuary.

The rickshawwallas double up as guides, showing the different species of birds and beasts, and there are also forest guides ready to accompany you with binoculars for better bird watching. You can also rent a bicycle and go on your merry way because the routes are well defined, and there is no way you can get last.
I went both early at dawn, and then again in the evening. And I would firmly recommend you to go as early in the morning as possible. You get to see way more birds and animals.

There are also the lesser known palace (Bharatpur Killa) and museum that houses antique weapons, everyday items and sculptors among other things, and is a wonderful place to hang out under the warm winter sun.

All in all, if you love taking strolls without the hassle of traffic, if you enjoy letting your imagination run free in the backdrop of nature and if you find peace in the heart of wilderness, this UNESCO World Heritage site is a must visit. And if you live in Delhi, any regular weekend during the winters is all the time you need to explore this tiny town and its wonderful bird paradise.

An Afternoon Exploring Shahpur Jat Village

I love exploring new places. And I think of food incessantly. If you combine the two, you can well imagine my happiness level. Today was one such happy day.

I had woken up relatively early to do piled up college work, and suddenly found myself making plans with a friend to go out and explore some new part of the city. As is always the case with me, I soon started looking at places on Zomato and after a while decided to visit Shahpur Jat. Soon, from two, we doubled up, and four of us planned to visit the urban village for lunch.

So, we reached Shahpur Jat at around 1:30, and started looking around. In the beginning, it looks like any other market of any other residential colony of Delhi. There was the usual hustle bustle of children returning from school, along with the cacophony of street vendors and shop keepers. We roamed around aimlessly for a while, and then asked for directions to go to the village which houses boutiques and cafes.

After about 10 minutes of walking, we reached our destination, gawking at the windows of the high end boutiques and looking at different restaurants.

First up in our list was Scribblers Cafe, which was at the first floor of a building complex and has an urban cafe look. They had both outdoors and indoors seating. And though the cafe is tiny, it looks very well kept.

Being the ardent non-vegetarians that we are, we ordered a chicken Shepherd's pie, a grilled chicken breast in mushroom sauce and a lasagna, along with cold coffee with ice-cream and kulfi shake.
The food was pretty good. I loved the chicken in mushroom sauce the best.

But the portions were pretty small, and since we wanted to explore more, we kept roaming around, and finally reached the Old Town Cafe to fulfill our dessert cravings.
We had cupcakes and waffles in this quaint cafe, which had a really cute decor.

We hadn't done exploring yet, and we kept checking out the high end shops, that sell everything from scarves to wedding gowns. The last store we hit was the Wishing Chair, which is a very beautiful store that has creatively designed everyday items, such a coasters made up of keys.

The store also holds bi-monthly craft workshops Sunday afternoons. It was pretty impressive. We oohed and aahed at the beautiful, albeit expensive items and then sat down for our evening cuppa.
We ended out journey with hot chocolate, which tasted totally unique because of cinnamon and some other secret ingredient and Earl Grey.

All in all, it was an amazing day well spent. I wouldn't like to return to Shahpur Jat again, mainly because there are so many places to visit in Delhi, but it's a must one time visit place.
